I Can Experience You Creep Into My Private Life is the fourth total-length release by Merrill Garbus' project Tune-Yards. It was released on 4AD Records on January 19, 2018.[i] Nate Brenner is also listed as a collaborator.[2] The anthology was mixed by Mikaelin BlueSpruce.[three] The majority of the album was recorded at Tiny Phone Oakland and mastered in Harlem, New York, past Dave Kutch.[four]

Musical style [edit]

I Can Feel You Creep Into My Private Life has more electronic influences than Garbus'due south previous piece of work.[5] It is inspired by Haitian and Kenyan music,[vi] as well her life as a DJ in California.[3] [7] The album's themes include feminism, race intolerance, and freedom.[8] Identity politics are the main focus of the album; Garbus said the work was inspired past a desire to "resonate with what's going on in the world."[eight] [9] [10]
